Bill is a retired Technical Specialist Engineer in the field of Medical Imaging. Born and raised in Cooma, a child of parents who worked both for the Snowy Mountains Hydro Electric Authority and SMEC. On finishing High school at Monaro High in 1980, he undertook a traineeship with the Department of Aviation as Radio Technical officer. On completion of the traineeship, he moved into the private sector and worked for Toshiba, Philips and Siemens in the Medical Imaging Industry, with specialties in Computed Tomography and Magnetic Resonance, his employment involved working in partnership with both the public and private healthcare sectors and worldwide travel for training and fieldwork over many years until retirement in 2022. Bill’s interests include, the environment, politics, photography, hobby machining and light aircraft aviation. Bill returned to live in Cooma in 2010.
